COBB COUNTY, GA (WSAU) — Milwaukee pounded 11 hits but fell 3-2 to the Braves in suburban Atlanta on Friday.
Brice Turang opened the scoring with an RBI single in the third, bringing home Blake Perkins. Then in the 9th, Turang recorded another RBI single, which nearly turned into the game-tying hit when Milwaukee challenged a play at the plate involving Jackson Chourio. The call was ultimately upheld.
Christian Yelich had scored ahead of Chourio.
Turang, Garrett Mitchell, and Andrew Vaughn each recorded two hits. Chourio went 1-4 with a double.
Jacob Misiorowski allowed five hits and two earned runs in six innings. He also recorded seven strikeouts.
