MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – As the 2026 NBA Draft approaches in a matter of hours, the Milwaukee Bucks are continuing to negotiate trades with teams across the league for two of their big-name players.
According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick and Eric Nehm, the Bucks will “listen to offers,” specifically for Tyler Herro, whom Milwaukee acquired from the Heat late Monday night, while Hoopes Hype NBA insider Mike Scotto reports that Bucks center Myles Turner is also a “strong trade candidate” ahead of tonight’s draft.
The Detroit Pistons, who currently own the 21st overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, one first-round pick and three second-round picks in the 2027 NBA Draft, as well as several young players, are the most likely candidates to trade for Herro.
Herro is currently under a four-year, $120 million rookie-scale extension that expires after the 2019 NBA season, so either the Bucks or the team that trades for him will be required to provide Herro a new four-year contract worth an estimated $206.9 million.
As for Turner, Scotto reports that the Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, New Orleans Pelicans, and Boston Celtics are all interested in acquiring the 30-year-old center, as the Bucks would prefer to trade Turner’s $108 million contract for extra picks and young players to give newly acquired center Kel’el Ware as many starting minutes as possible during the 2026-2027 season.
Ware started 34 of the Miami Heat’s 77 games last season, averaging 11.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. He also shot an amazing 39% from the three-point range and 74% from the free-throw line. Last season, Turner averaged 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks.
