FOND du LAC, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A man from Rib Lake who was wanted on suspicion of multiple burglaries in northern Wisconsin has been taken into custody in Fond du Lac County.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s office, a man was observed riding a bike and was recognized by deputies as a wanted suspect with an active nationwide felony warrant, which was issued in Iron County, for burglary of a dwelling. The suspect, who was later identified by the Iron County Sheriff’s office as Toby Mullins of Rib Lake, 50, initially fled on his bike, before abandoning the bike and running away on foot. While the deputy temporarily lost sight of Mullins, additional officers responded and were able to take him into custody after setting up a perimeter, with the help of drones and K-9 units.
He has an extensive criminal history that includes resisting law enforcement, drug-related offenses, and theft-related offenses. He was wanted as a suspect in multiple burglaries in Ashland, Price, Taylor, Iron, Sawyer, and Winnebago counties.
