MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly looking into making an offer for one of the top restricted free agents on the market.
According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, Milwaukee has been in talks with the Denver Nuggets about a possible sign-and-trade deal that would send 23-year-old guard Peyton Watson to the Bucks for a package of picks and players.
Watson had a breakout season in 2025, averaging 14.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, and is anticipated to sign a four-year, $90 million extension if traded.
According to Stein, the Los Angeles Clippers and Atlanta Hawks have also discussed trade scenarios with the Nuggets, but the Bucks are the most serious contenders due to their strong relationship with Watson’s agents at KLUTCH Sports, as newly signed guard Gary Trent Jr. is represented by KLUTCH, and Milwaukee can offer Denver the most appealing trade package.
The Bucks have continued to show interest in restricted free agent forward Jonathan Kuminga, though it’s believed that he will agree to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers that may be outside of the Bucks’ price range.
