GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers, as well as the NFL, now know what charges running back Josh Jacobs will face following his arrest back in May.
According to Wisconsin Court Records, Jacobs has been charged with misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor criminal damage to property after he and his now ex-girlfriend, Ash Kaash, got into a fight at his Brown County home that led to her and neighbors calling 911.
In Wisconsin, misdemeanor battery is classified as a Class A misdemeanor that carries a maximum fine of $10,000 and nine months in jail, while misdemeanor criminal damage to property carries the same penalties. However, damage exceeding $2,500 may elevate the offense to a Class I felony, carrying up to 3.5 years in prison.
According to Packers GM Brian Gutekunst, who spoke to the media ahead of Wednesday’s practice, he and his staff have been preparing for the league office to place running back Josh Jacobs on the Commissioner’s Exempt List to start the 2026 season and added that he and the coaching staff have confidence in the backs behind Jacobs, including MarShawn Lloyd, who has struggled to stay healthy since being drafted out of USC by the Packers in the 3rd round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
