STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A Stevens Point man has been convicted of child sex crimes after a trial.
Jose Mata, 51, was found guilty by a jury of repeated sexual assault of a child and sexual assault of an unconscious victim.
He was arrested in August of 2025.
Sentencing is scheduled for December 4.
