It’s a funny thing with Wisconsin..we have had such cold weather that we’re wearing all kinds of masks..not for the pandemic..but to stay warm!! The events that are happening..like the recent Wausau 525 Snowmobile Races and the annual Sports Show held at the Expo Center were an interesting set up. Let’s face it..people do not like to wear masks to prevent Covid 19 spread..they just don’t..I don’t either..but I do wear one to public places. But at these recent events..I didn’t see many wearing masks. If they were it was mainly to keep warm..with gaiter style masks..not N-95, surgical, or any of those types of masks. Wisconsin just isn’t doing the mask thing. I saw recently that a friend of mine said in Madison that “hey..you can go north..they’re living without masks up there”..and he wasn’t wrong. I think people are sick of mandates..don’t want to be told what to do..and I for one am not here to tell you what to do or whether to wear a mask or not. You do you..as they say. But I will suggest this. If you have plans of traveling, seeing loved ones, staying in a hotel, going to a big city, or from a community stand point..as long as you don’t wear a mask.. event coordinators will have to adjust or cancel their stuff until we’re vaccinated and really done with the pandemic..we’ll probably be in this mode for a long time to come. Covid 19 isn’t going away soon..and the variants mentioned in the news are real and something to watch for.
Where we at on the mask thing???
